Fantasy Angles
- Hot start potential: Brentford, Palace, Everton, Sunderland, and Fulham in the first six. Big returns expected.
- Watkins watch: Should be in all serious draft conversations. Early captain material.
- Rotation risk: Expect some changes with Europa League group stages looming after GW6.
- Defensive value: Digne, Cash and Martinez will be top-tier early picks.
Draft Strategy Tips
- Load up early — Villa have one of the most balanced starts in the league.
- Consider drafting two attackers from Villa and trading one by GW9 when rotation intensifies.
- Watkins is a nailed top-10 FPL forward if he stays fit. Prioritise in Round 2 or 3.
- Avoid doubling up in defence post-GW10 with fixtures turning sour.
StatrDraft Verdict
Villa’s early run is built for draft dominance. If you’re picking late, stack up on Emery’s side and reap the points. From GW7 onwards, you’ll need to rotate smartly, especially with their UEL commitments. But this is the club where form and fixtures align out the gate.
End-of-season? Brutal. Spurs, Burnley, Liverpool, and City to close. Get out before May.
