While my esteemed colleagues here at Statr HQ have taken their usual prediction approaches – that is to say, Jon’s here with vibes and Gary’s got the left-field madness – I’m taking a different approach.

Anyway, my methodology for predictions – last year’s table, and then move relative to how poor the transfers (Hi Eddie) and good or bad the pre-season (oh Nuno, what’s happened)have been. No wordy explanations, no defensive blathering on about why the insanity you’re reading isn’t actually that mad if you squint. No, it’s brevity this week, readers. Here’s the table at the end of the season. I will not be taking questions at this time.
