Our Journey
StatrDraft began ten years ago as a passion project, born in the backroom of a small phone shop, because N’golo Kante was the best midfielder in the league but genuinely pointless over at FPL. We were just a few football fans, driven by our love of the game and the idea of creating something different in the world of fantasy sports. From humble beginnings, we built a platform that would bring people closer to the action, let them test their football knowledge, and make every match matter. Over the years, we’ve refined the concept, and now, StatrDraft stands as a unique draft-style fantasy football game that captures the thrill, drama, and strategy of the Premier League and the Women’s Super League.
Why We’re Building Statrdraft
Fantasy football is about more than just picking players—it’s about feeling like you’re part of the game. Over the last decade our group of avid FPLer’s have been playing our own game in tandem with FPL and we are certain that when you finally get to see what we’ve been working on you will be as giddy as we are about giving it a test spin. We wanted to build a game that rewards true football insight and brings the drama of managing a team to life. That’s why we created StatrDraft as a draft-style game, where every decision counts, every player is unique to your team, and the stakes are high every week.
Our aim is to give fans an experience that mirrors the unpredictability and excitement of real football. Yano over at the “other place” everyone picks Haaland, everyone’s midfield is basically forwards who are incorrectly listed and defensive midfielders and proper defenders aren’t remotely relevant! We focus on strategy, competition, and community—elements that make football more than just a sport, but a way of connecting with others. StatrDraft lets you feel the highs and lows of managing your squad, making each match a pivotal moment. Our game is simple, your league organiser, or Commisioner as we like to call them, creates your league, sets the entry fee, draft night timing and customises your league to suit your group. Things like subs, do you want none, 1 or a full bench, do you want to do regular season/post season versus a straight shoot out, do you want 1 or 2 external transfers per week and do you want to be able to trade players with the other squads in your league adding another layer of strategy and shenanigans? yeah we got it all!

Our League History
Over the years, we’ve built a community of dedicated players who have been with us since the early days. Our league has grown from a small group of friends testing the game in its earliest stages to a thriving albeit small (right now) community of football fans who love the challenge and excitement of draft-style fantasy football. We’ve hosted countless draft nights (which by the way is the best night of the year, grab the pizza’s and beers and start setting your lineups), seen rivalries develop, and celebrated moments of triumph that made StatrDraft what it is today—a game that brings people together through the love of football and hatred of their mates.
Our league history is filled with stories of underdog victories, last-minute transfers that changed everything or as he is known Jean-Philippe Mateta, and intense competition that keeps everyone coming back for more. We’ve built StatrDraft with the belief that football is better when it’s shared, and our community is at the heart of everything we do.
